Cynthia here for Susie and Kim.   Susie will be along shortly with the winner of our home challenge.  But I couldn’t wait to get started on this week so…winding our way through Vera’s stunning “Walk Down Memory Lane” collection brings us to “Live Laugh Love” …one of my favorites.  I love the colors and the gorgeous papers that range from pretty to dramatic.

The elements are really fun - I especially love the birds and ribbons.

You don’t have to use this kit to enter this week’s challenge  but it inspired me in choosing our challenge…so this week  scrap about a memory which makes you smile - something you laugh about now, someone you love in a giggly moment or that perfect moment of bliss that always brings a smile to your face. These are the moments I like best in life, the ones I strive to make happen for my girls and the ones that Vera’s collection helps us to capture perfectly.

The rules are the same -use at least 50% Vera stuff (80% to be in consideration for layout of the month), post a link in the comments section by next Saturday night and you are in….

This week I am REALLY  impressed with the layouts.  Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful creativity with us.  I asked for help in learning how to keep it simple and I definitely got it and the inspiration I needed. I want to scraplift each one of these - and I probably will in the next little while.  They each evoke a wonderful emotion or capture a memory in a very special way.  And with a minimal amount of embellishment.  I really do need to get the hang of this.  You clearly already have. And welcome to new participants - we are so glad to have you join us this week and hope to see you here often!

 I wish I could give each of these layouts a prize  - it has been very very difficult to choose just one this week.

Well after debating my choice over and over, I finally decided to pick Think Blue’s special layout:

I love the fun pic, the titling on the pic and the perfect use of colored layered embellies - especially the flower - popping with the black and white.  Look for a GC soon.

Hi guys, Susie here for Cynthia and Kim with this weeks new challenge :0)  First of all thanks to those of you who played along last week, Cynthia will be along soon to announce the winner!  We love looking at your LO’s each week, they really do inspire us.

Now onto this weeks challenge….in keeping with Vera’s new collection “A Walk Down Memory Lane” your challenge this week is to do a LO about your home/home life/something in your home that you love, for example…a favourite piece of furniture, a favourite room.  Or you could even do a LO about your city/country/house.  By the way….we’re giving away another $10 GC this week too!  How cool is that!!

To make it a bit more fun I’d also like to see on your LO:

2. The colour blue

3. A border, that could be doodled, stitched etc

Cynthia here for Kim and Susie.  I am hosting again this week as Kim is busy with her family. I absolutely love layouts with lots of white space, a few elements and a lot of impact.  I am pretty much incapable of pulling off this look myself.  I try.  I really do.  But elements and big titles and journaling and so on just seem to sneak in until I have the page filled.  So this week show me how to do great but simple pages.  No other rules.  Well - you still need to use at least 50% Vera Lim products and if you want to be in for Layout of the Month please use at least 80%.

I went back and forth on my choice a few times since I liked all of these a lot…but I finally went with Annette’s layout.  I think it is just the perfect composition and color choice for this fabulous sweet photo and I also lvoe the simplicity.

Cynthia here for Susie and Kim.  I hope that you are all loving Vera’s new collection as much as I am.  I have been so inspired I have stopped counting how many layouts I have already done with all the gorgeous papers and elements.  And I still have a lot more that I want to do with it.  So this week I am continuing the walk down memory lane with a challenge everyone can relate to…just scrap a memory. Any memory you want to preserve.  Can be a favorite moment, something special about a special someone or a momentous occasion that you want to honor.  Just use either the word remember or memory on your page, include at least 50% Vera goodies (80% if you also want to be included for layout of the month consideration) and post back here by next Saturday night, November 1.  Here is some inspiration from the CT to get you thinking:

Hello, Susie here for the blog girls with this week’s new challenge, do you have a favourite word?  I do :0)  It’s cherish, I absolutely adore the meaning of it: To treat with affection and tenderness; hold dear.  It is also the name of one of the kits from Vera’s fabulous new collection A Walk Down Memory Lane, to celebrate Vera’s new collection, over the next few weeks we will be doing challenges which relate to each kit in the collection.  The first one being ‘Cherish’ also, rather than winning a $5 GC we’re offering a $10 GC to the winner!!  How cool is that!!  :0)
